Custom Products

We have extensive experience creating custom products and accessories for musicians and orchestras. Through our work with over 15 companies, we know our way around industrial design. Our team has designed everything from instrument stands to UVC disinfection modules for reeds. For projects that require specialized work, we collaborate with industry experts, including CFM experts, polymer specialists, civil engineers, and more. Our in-house prototyping lab can quickly create custom and durable products at low costs. Genuwind Customs also has third-party access to cutting-edge technologies such as nano-tech production lines, HPC clusters, and more. Whatever your business or personal needs are, we have your back. Mouthpiece Replicas and Repairing

Do you have a mouthpiece you want replicated or repaired? We can achieve this with sub-micron accuracy. Note: we do not repair mouthpieces; we REPLICATE them. With our laser accurate scanners, our replicas will play almost identically to your original. Our process for all replicas and repairs includes industrially scanning the mouthpiece before loading it into our software. In our software, we can then make any changes or repairs you request before finalizing the model. All mouthpieces are made in an amber-colored medical-grade polymer but can also be made in hard rubber or certain types of metal at an additional cost.

Custom Instrument Cases

One of our specialties lies in the dying art of luxury case-making. Our instrument cases are world-renowned for their many features but mainly for their authentic designs. Every piece of our case is hand-designed to meet the highest standards. After years of trial and error, we have solved all of the major problems we have seen in consumer cases. Stock or custom, all Quartz cases come standard with the features that make our cases popular, such as:

  • Quartz Latches
  • Contact-Cushioning System
  • Anti Temperature-Shock Design
  • Lightweight Construction
  • Case Tracking
  • NFC Stickers

Quartz Latches

Our competitors frequently run into problems with their latches, such as them opening while walking or being tough to twist. Every solution we’ve seen as musicians has not met our standards. By designing our own latches, we have not only solved these problems but surpassed industrial-grade quality and reliability. Each Quartz Latch is composed of 15 individual parts that create the industry’s first gear-operated latch. The latch has a built-in failsafe that keeps the gearbox disconnected until it is ready to use. To operate, push down the wheel and turn. This design ensures that our latches stay secure until you’re ready to play. The gears are also coated in marine lubricant so moisture won’t corrode them. Our latches are designed with two PTFE seals, preventing rain or other liquids from damaging the gearbox. On top of that, every piece is gold-plated or heat-treated to prevent corrosion. These features in our Quartz Latch ensure smooth and reliable operation, time and time again.

Contact-Cushioning System

Protecting your instrument is crucial, so we take this very seriously. It doesn’t make sense for us to sell a case that can’t handle all of the elements, including the harshest environments your instrument will ever see: airports. We completely redesigned the cushioning system from the ground up to withstand airport baggage handlers. Our contact-cushioning system secures your instrument while making contact just two or three times; this system is surprisingly safer than traditional cushioning. The best cushioning is air, so with minimal contact between your case and instrument, your instrument stays safe. This system directs shock straight to the specially designed polymer between your case and instrument. The polymer absorbs 97% of the blow and converts it into kinetic and thermal energy. The lack of traditional cushioning allows air inside the case to travel in and around your instrument, preventing trapped moisture from damaging your instrument or causing sticky pads. To survive TSA, labels are provided that direct handlers to a brief video on how to open the case. If they choose not to watch the video, our cushioning system still keeps your instrument secure. In other words, opening your case upside-down will not cause your instrument to fall out. This system ensures your instrument will get to every gig safely.

Anti Temperature-Shock Design

The most prominent cause of cracked instruments is rapid temperature fluctuations. We added titanium brackets that sandwich a waterproof gasket to replace the traditional plastic couplers to bridge the gap between both parts of your case, creating an air and watertight seal. With zero access to rainwater or air in the case, the internal temperature slowly acclimates to your environment rather than shocking and cracking your instrument.

Lightweight Construction

Onto our last major solution: weight. We do everything we can to reduce the weight of these cases, and we do an incredible job of it. Instead of traditional metal hinges that are flimsy and prone to damage and corrosion, we utilize carbon fiber. Carbon fiber hinges are rated to last longer, are thinner, lighter, quieter, and require zero maintenance or lubrication during the case’s lifetime. The case is made of our signature honeycomb carbon fiber, making it lighter and stronger. In our case, every metal part is also made of aircraft-grade aluminum, with either an anodized or gold-plated finish. Our contact-cushioning system makes the main difference. With minimal cushioning, our cases shed off a few pounds.

Final Touches

When it comes to a good product, we don’t cut corners — anywhere. Our cases include an NFC sticker you can program with your contact information, so goodbye unsightly “Contact Me” cards. If someone finds your case, all they would need to do is tap their phone on the sticker to pull up your contact information. Our cases also come fitted with trackers ready to pair to your iPhone right out of the box. The tracker is MFI-certified, so it uses the Apple AirTag system to keep track of your instrument at no extra cost. Ultimately, when you decide to buy our cases, you’re backed by a lifetime service guarantee. If anything ever goes wrong with your case, we’ll fix it for free. Quartz cases are unrivaled in the industry, so email us about your next custom project with us.
